STREAM to PONDer Makes Additions

Date: Sep 01, 2015

The Children's Museum of South Dakota's recent Traveling Exhibit, "A STREAM to PONDer: Interconnected Life in South Dakota Habitats" continues to engage returning guests with the addition of several elements to the exhibit.

Over the last several weeks, a 'worm wall,' root systems, animal tracks, and nature sounds have all been added to even further the visitor experience. The exhibit, which brings the outdoors to the indoors, also offers performers that engage with guests. Based on research with area children, has been enjoyed by thousands of guests since opening in July.

A collaboritive construction, with help from numerous volunteers and community members, the exhibit also led the CMSD staff to work with Minneapolis guest artist Megan Flod Johnson from concept to development.

"A STREAM to PONDer" is anticipated to be in the Museum's Traveling Exhibit space through 2015.
