Meet Our Members: The Delfanazari Family

Membership at the Children’s Museum of South Dakota comes with many benefits: free admission, a discount in the gift shop, special hours, and more.

But one of the best benefits of membership is the community of people who share a common interest in providing opportunities for children to play, create, and discover.

Many members visit us weekly, and we love getting to know them and watching their children grow up with us! We want you to get to know them, too.

Meet the Delfanazari family: Soheyla, Shahab, Kozheen (6.5), and Zhubeen (3) have been members since 2018. We asked Soheyla to share a bit about their life and their family’s experiences at the Children’s Museum of South Dakota:

Tell us about your family:

Soheyla: I am originally from Iran, and moved to Brookings where I started my family.

How often do you come to the museum?

Soheyla: We come to the museum every week.

What is your family’s favorite exhibit? Why?

Soheyla: My kids love to play outside during the summer and go fishing in the pond. They love to fish and enjoy playing in Splash and Whiskers & Tails.

What keeps your family coming back to the museum?

Soheyla: The friendly staff! We love every single one of you! We also appreciate the great clean building and the wonderful food in Café Coteau.

What do you find most valuable about your membership?

Soheyla: Watching my kids enjoy their time here! We make new friends and save lots of money just by having our membership.

What would you tell a family who’s coming to the museum for the first time?

Soheyla: Get a membership! It’s so so worth it.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Soheyla: Thank you for being so nice and wonderful to me every time I come in. We love the museum.
