Children’s Museum Recognized as South Dakota Great Place

Great Place program recognizes businesses with exceptional customer service

Twenty-seven businesses, including the Children’s Museum of South Dakota, have been recognized by the South Dakota Department of Tourism for outstanding hospitality.

The Children’s Museum of South Dakota was recognized as a South Dakota Great Place along with 26 other businesses. The tourism-focused businesses earned the designation for their outstanding hospitality and customer service.

In order to be eligible for the award, the Children’s Museum of South Dakota showed evidence of excellent customer service. The museum also provides a training program that gives its employees tools to offer guests the best possible experience in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

“The South Dakota Great Place program recognizes businesses that empower their employees with the skills and training needed to provide our visitors with exceptional customer service,” said James Hagen, Secretary of the Department of Tourism. “These businesses have put their best foot forward to serve and help our state have an incredibly impactful tourism industry. They definitely deserve to be recognized.”
