You can now shop in-person and have access to the best toys and books around.

Mari is ready to help be your personal shopper for all of your book, game, puzzle, and toy needs!

Are you looking for some fun toys that inspire learning, too? Perhaps you need a new game or puzzle for family game night? Do you have a special birthday celebration coming up?

Our gift shop Play Central Toys & Books is open to the general public. You do not need Museum admission to shop!

If you are looking for something special, contact our personal shopper Membership Coordinator Mari at either 605-692-6700, ext. 230, or membership@prairieplay.org.

She can help you select the perfect toys or gifts from our wide variety of plush, toys, and games from brands like Green Toys, Fat Brain, Plus-Plus, Crazy Aaron, and Jellycat. We also have great resources to supplement learning, from games to flashcards! (We also have the best selection of dinosaur t-shirts in town!)

The gift shop does have capacity restrictions as outlined in our Museum Action Plan. Other operation modifications, from face masks to additional cleaning, will be in place as well. If you would like a private shopping time, please contact Mari.
