What's Happening After School?

The Children’s Museum of South Dakota’s Maker Studio is the perfect place to spark your child’s imagination.

The After School Maker Studio is a flexible, come-and-go experience for children age 5 and up located on the 2nd floor of the Children’s Museum of South Dakota.

The Maker Studio is designed by children for children to inspire all makers. Daily experiences foster creativity, curiosity, and self-expression through a wide variety of activities such as:

  • Robotics
  • Circuitry
  • Pottery
  • Sculpture
  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Collage
  • And More

Children will have the time and space to explore their interests with each day building on the interests of the last. The studio has the unique ability to change with children’s interests, but the mission behind the space remains the same.

Our Schedule

The Maker Studio is open Tuesday through Friday, 3-5:30 pm, when school is in session. Class sessions start on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and will be listed on our online calendar.
