Kidoodle, our Museum mascot, loves to eat healthy food. Kidoodle is also green, so it only makes sense that one of the features in our onsite Café Coteau is the Kidoodle Salad!

This salad looks a lot like Kidoodle and is a great way to get children interested in eating their leafy greens. It’s also very easy to make. Follow along as Café Coteau Manager Pouran gives you instructions on how to make your very own Kidoodle Salad.

The kids could be making meals for the entire family in no time!

The ingredients needed are flexible and can be changed based on your personal tastes. But even if it’s something you are not familiar with, Kidoodle still encourages you to try something new!

Ingredients

Green lettuce, romaine is a favorite

Cucumber

Tomato

Hard-boiled egg

Olives

Shredded cheese (we like Colby jack or parmesan, but you can choose any type)

Salad dressing

Directions

Wash and chop lettuce. Cut it into smaller pieces. Add it to your plate.

Slice up cucumbers, hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes and any other vegetable you choose.

Add the vegetables to the Kidoodle body to create a happy look! Cucumber and eggs make great eyes. Or consider olives! Squiggle on the salad dressing (we love using a squeeze bottle for this) to create the outline of a Kidoodle shape. There’s no perfect way to do this, it’s up to your imagination.
