Come Say Hi to Mama & Max

It is official. Mama T. Rex and her precious baby boy came out of hibernation today, and Mama is proud to announce that she has chosen Max as the name for her rambunctious son. She had a hard time making up her mind, but guests of the museum, as well as Facebook fans, cast almost 1,000 votes, helping her choose the perfect name.

The name Max was submitted by 8-year-old Hailey Huntington of Elkton (parents Dan & Jennifer), 11-year-old Anna Ayres of Brookings (parents Larry & Jill) and 5-year-old Lily Witte of Sioux Falls (parents Brian & Stephanie). An official birth certificate presentation and photos with baby Max and the children who suggested his name will be coming soon.
