Read along with Kidoodle Council

Kidoodle Council hand selects books from the museum floor.

Books can inspire us to think the impossible is possible, the ridiculous is imaginable, and that nonsense is curiosity. It’s true. The charming story of The Cow Who Climbed a Tree by Gemma Merino inspired two of our Kidoodle Council members, Giobbe and Miriam, to share the following reviews.

Book Review by Giobbe

A drawing of a cow climbing a tree, drawn by a child. Tina the cow tried new ideas, and her sisters didn’t listen to them because they thought they were nonsense.

Tina’s sisters always said, “IMPOSSIBLE! RIDICULOUS! NONSENSE!” but Tina didn’t give up her curiousness.

My favorite part of the book is when Tina climbed the tree and met the dragon.

I would read this book again because it has a unique storyline and awesome illustrations; the illustrations are unique, and they’re very kid-friendly.

Book Review by Miriam

This book made me laugh. I like that it tells you that things that seem impossible could be possible. I’d like to read this story a billion times. It inspires me to try new things that seem impossible.
