Children’s Museum of South Dakota Special Holiday Hours
Open on Monday, December 23rd
The Children’s Museum of South Dakota is excited to announce the museum and Café Coteau will be OPEN on Monday, December 23rd. The café opens for breakfast at 8am and the museum at 10am. Both will close at 5pm and remain closed on Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day. Both the café and museum resume regular hours starting on Thursday, December 26th.
For a special holiday treat on Monday, December 23rd, the Sons of Norway are offering families an opportunity to experience the Norwegian Christmas traditions with FREE Lefse making and Rosemaling in Café Coteau from 2-4pm. Families are encouraged to come participate and learn what it takes to create this traditional soft, Norwegian flatbread. Plus children will also have the opportunity to create their very own Rosemaling picture. Rosemaling is a Norwegian decorative folk art form that uses flowing lines, scrollwork, floral designs and many colors. No registration required, just drop in. Come join the FUN!
